Everything Verdant
does today.

Six groups. Every item on this list is shipping in production right now. Things on the roadmap are at the bottom, clearly labeled — no bait-and-switch.

Envelope budgeting

YNAB-style: every dollar gets a job. Spend only what you assigned. See the month unfold in real time.

Ready to Assign

One number that tells you whether every dollar has a home this month. Not assigning? It stays there until you do.

Three goal types per category

Monthly funding goal, target balance, or target balance by date. Categories nudge you when they're behind — and only when they're behind.

Spending pace indicators

Know at a glance whether groceries is on track for the month, or whether you'll blow the budget in 3 days.

Split transactions

One Costco run, three categories. Each split contributes to the right budget — pace, goals, and reports all stay accurate.

Age of Money

The YNAB metric that keeps you honest. When you're spending this week's paycheck on next week's rent, Verdant tells you.

Contextual insights

Overspending alerts, stale categories, under-funded goals — surfaced in a single insights drawer, not strewn across the UI.

Net worth tracking

Empower-grade visibility. Every asset, every liability, every line on the chart.

Net worth chart with trend

A single chart showing net worth over time, with every account's contribution stacked transparently below.

19 asset classes

Checking, savings, CD, money market, HYSA, 529, brokerage, retirement, crypto, real estate, vehicle, loan, mortgage, credit card, cash, and more.

Vehicles + real estate

Vehicles depreciate automatically by age and mileage. Real estate tracks appraisals, mortgage payoff, and equity over time.

Amortization schedules

Every loan gets a full amortization curve — principal, interest, and payoff date visible from the account drawer.

Milestones that auto-mark

Set a net-worth goal. When you cross it, Verdant marks the date and celebrates — no manual check required.

Savings APY projections

HYSAs and CDs show projected balance at maturity given their APY, fixed vs. variable rate assumptions, and contribution schedule.

Investment tracking

Holdings, live prices, transaction history. Brokerage-grade without the brokerage.

Holdings dashboard

Every position across every account in one table. Sortable by gain, weight, cost basis — whatever matters to you.

Live prices

Tickers auto-refresh via Finnhub. Your manual price stays the source of truth; live prices override at render time.

Transaction history

Buys, sells, dividends, contributions, fees — all in one ledger, with share-precision math.

Brokerage CSV import

Schwab, Fidelity, Vanguard, E*TRADE, Robinhood formats all import cleanly — with duplicate detection against your existing positions.

Imports & export

Your data comes in easy. Your data goes out easier.

CSV / XLSX / OFX / QFX import

Four formats, one pipeline. Smart column detection handles banks that prefix their files with account info.

Payee auto-categorization

Categorize Trader Joe's once. Every Trader Joe's transaction after that lands in the right category automatically.

Duplicate detection

Imports check the date range of your existing data and offer skip / replace / import-all for any overlap.

Full data export (CSV + JSON)

Every transaction, budget, category, account, and holding — exportable to CSV or JSON, rate-limited but not feature-gated.

Accounts & transactions

Everything you need to run the day-to-day — and everything you don't normally get from a budgeting app.

Per-account register

Every account has its own transaction ledger. Add, edit, split, transfer — inline, with keyboard nav.

Inline payee transfers

Record a transfer by typing the destination account in the payee field. Verdant creates the paired transactions automatically.

Scheduled transactions + forecasting

Rent on the 1st, Netflix on the 17th. The Upcoming page shows what's coming this month and how your balances will look on each date.

Calendar and timeline views

Switch between list, calendar, and forecast modes. Same data, three mental models for people who think differently.

Privacy & data ownership

What separates Verdant from the incumbents — end to end.

Bank-grade encryption in transit

TLS everywhere. Credentials never hit our servers — Plaid handles bank auth directly when you use it.

Multi-tenant DB isolation

Every query is scoped to your user ID at the SQL layer, with ownership predicates gating every mutation.

Plaid is optional, not required

The app is fully usable without connecting a single bank. Plaid is a convenience, not a lock-in.

Email verification + rate limits

Signups require email verification. Auth endpoints are rate-limited per IP. No password resets via phone.

On the roadmap

Coming next — commitments, not claims.

None of these ship today. They're here so you know what Verdant is growing into, not so you make a purchase decision based on features that don't exist.

Plaid auto-sync

Auto-refreshing bank + brokerage connections. Optional.

Offline mode

Work without a network connection; sync when you're back online.

Local-first architecture

Your device as source of truth, cloud as sync.

Native iOS + Android apps

Shared design system and data model with the web app.

Lifetime plan option

One-time purchase alternative to the subscription.

Creator / affiliate program

Transparent revenue share for creators covering personal finance.

Everything. One subscription. No upsells.

There are no Pro tiers, no feature gates, no “add-ons.” Everything on this page ships to every paying user.
